"the service has enabled me to manage my own life and get out and enjoy myself." before receiving dhi’s direct payment support, mark’s health was suffering. he was using all his time and energy keeping on top of housework, wasn’t eating properly and was often left sleeping in his chair with no assistance in the evenings. dhi’s direct payment support has allowed mark to manage his own care budget to get the most effective support for him; a daily carer helps mark with cooking and household tasks, allowing him more time to pursue his passion for music by singing in a band and performing as a dj.
